In the Women’s Final Malene Andersen shot out of the start, grabbed the holeshot and lead for 4 laps, before crashing, rejoined for a couple of laps before stopping in Pitlane, she would finish in 16th position.

Elina Öhman, a local star, was in second position after the start but after the crash of Malene she became leader of the race where she would finish and claim the World Cup title for her second time in Alvsbyn, last in 2015. Elina Öhman later said, “I had an excellent day. Qualifying practice went well, I had good speed. I tried to ride carefully and not to do anything stupid. The Leader made a mistake and I could pass her, after that I tried to ride careful to keep my lead. I live 4 km away from the track of Alvsbyn and it was very special for me today to ride for my home crowd, family, and friends. Overall it was a perfect season for me and I am glad I could finish this amazing season in my hometown.”

In the beginning of the race Emilia Dahlgren was in third position but later she found her way forward finishing in second.

Elvira Lindh was fourth at the beginning of the race, followed by Adam Renheim’s sister Ronja Renheim; in the middle of the race they had a battle in which Ronja Renheim prevailed and took the third position. Adam Renheim commented on his sister’s performance saying: “It was nice racing with my little sister as Marica got hurt and she decided to retire this year. I was giving her some advice where to line up in the start and she actually had a good start, could have been better, but she got the third position in the Championship, which is pretty important.”
