E’ entrata nel vivo la 19.ma edizione della Winter Cup con le prove ufficiali disputate da 208 piloti nelle tre categorie KZ2, KF e KF Junior. I più veloci si sono rivelati in KZ2 Andrea Dalè su CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone, in KF Alessio Lorandi su Tony Kart-TM-Bridgestone, in KF Junior Lorenzo Colombo su Tony Kart-TM-Vega.
Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italia). Con le verifiche sportive e le prove ufficiali di venerdì, a Lonato del Garda è entrata nel vivo la 19.ma Winter Cup per l’apertura della stagione internazionale di karting che in questo weekend offrirà appunto i primi grandi protagonisti dell’anno.
Al termine delle verifiche sportive sono stati 208 i piloti verificati nelle 3 categorie della manifestazione, KZ2, KF e KF Junior, e dopo le prime due giornate di mercoledì e giovedì dedicate alle prove libere, è arrivato il primo responso ufficiale con le prove di qualificazione che hanno evidenziato i più veloci dell’evento.
DALE’ IN KZ2. In KZ2 il più veloce nelle qualifiche è risultato il bresciano Andrea Dalè, su CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone, che ha realizzato il miglior tempo del proprio turno e anche della classifica assoluta in 42”414. Il secondo tempo assoluto lo ha ottenuto Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone) sul trevigiano Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM-Bridgestone). Fra i più veloci anche i campioni del mondo Davide Forè (CRG-TM-Bridgestone) e l’olandese Bas Lammers (Formula K-Parilla-Bridgestone), pronti a inserirsi per il successo, come l’altro bresciano Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone). Beneanche il francese Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone), quarto assoluto. Fra gli esordienti di questa categoria professionale, niente male il 16.mo tempo assoluto del pilota di casa Luca Corberi (Kosmic-Vortex-Bridgestone).
LORANDI IN KF. In KF è salitosugli allori un altro bresciano, il neo campione del mondo della KF Junior Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-TM-Bridgestone) miglior tempo assoluto nelle qualificazioni con 44”165. Ottima anche la prestazione di Felice Tiene (CRG-TM-Bridgestone), più veloce del proprio turno ma poi quinto nel computo totale e preceduto da Diego Bertonelli (Zanardi-Parilla-Bridgestone), il russo Egor Stupenkov (Energy-TM-Bridgestone) e il danese Niklas Nielsen (Kosmic-Vortex-Bridgestone).
COLOMBO IN KF JUNIOR. In KF Junior il più veloce è stato il milanese Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart-TM-Vega), seguito da Tommaso Mosca (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) e l’austriaco Simon Reicher (FA Alonso-Vortex-Vega).
Nel pomeriggio si sono svolte le prime manche di gara per le qualificazione alla fase finale. Nella manche di KZ2 ancora in evidenza Andrea Dalè (CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone) andato al successo davanti a Flavio Camponeschi, lo svedese Douglas Lundberg e Davide Forè.
Nelle due manches di KF Junior le vittorie sono andate a Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi-Partilla-Vega) e al russo Alexander Vartaynan (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega).
Il programma della Winter Cup prosegue sabato 22 febbraio con tutte le rimanenti manches di qualificazione per poter determinare i finalisti di domenica.

The 19thedition of the Winter Cup got to its heart with qualifying run by 208 drivers competing in the three categories KZ2, KF and KF Junior. The quickest timeshave been set by Andrea Dalè on CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone in KZ2, Alessio Lorandi on Tony Kart-TM-Bridgestone in KF and Lorenzo Colombo on Tony Kart-TM-Vega in KF Junior.
Lonato del Garda (Brescia, Italy). Sportive verifications and qualifying started the 19th Winter Cup, the race that marks the opening of the karting international season which is going to have a preview of what can be the protagonists of the whole year this weekend.
208 drivers have been verified in the three categories KZ2, KF and KF Junior and, after the first two days of Wednesday and Thursday devoted to free practice, the track gave its first official verdict today in qualifying.
DALE’ IN KZ2. The quickest in KZ2 has been the driver from Brescia Andrea Dalè, on CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone, who posted the fastest lap of his session that was also worth the top place of the absolute classification in 42”414. The second time was set by Flavio Camponeschi (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone), from Marco Zanchetta (Maranello-TM-Bridgestone). The world champion Davide Forè (CRG-TM-Bridgestone) and the Dutch Bas Lammers (Formula K-Parilla-Bridgestone) have been among the fastest too and are ready to slide in the fight for the victory, as certainly is the other driver from Brescia, Marco Ardigò (Tony Kart-Vortex-Bridgestone). Good session for the French driver Arnaud Kozlinski (Intrepid-TM-Bridgestone), whoended fourth. Among the rookies of this professional series, good 16th place for the home hero Luca Corberi (Kosmic-Vortex-Bridgestone).
LORANDI IN KF. The new KF Junior World Champion Alessio Lorandi (Tony Kart-TM-Bridgestone) came to the fore in KF where he clocked the fastest time of qualifying in 44”165. Very good performance by Felice Tiene (CRG-TM-Bridgestone), who was the fastest of his session but was fifth overall behind Diego Bertonelli (Zanardi-Parilla-Bridgestone), the RussianEgor Stupenkov (Energy-TM-Bridgestone) and the Dane Niklas Nielsen (Kosmic-Vortex-Bridgestone).
COLOMBO IN KF JUNIOR. The Milanesedriver Lorenzo Colombo (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) has been the quickest in KF Junior as he proceeded Tommaso Mosca (Tony Kart-TM-Vega) as well as the Austrian Simon Reicher (FA Alonso-Vortex-Vega).
The first two qualifying heats have taken place in the afternoon. In KZ2 Andrea Dalè (CRG-Maxter-Bridgestone) clinched the victory leading Flavio Camponeschi, the Swede Douglas Lundberg and Davide Forè.
The victories in the two heats of KF Junior went to Daniel Ticktum (Zanardi-Partilla-Vega) and to the Russian driver Alexander Vartaynan (Tony Kart-Vortex-Vega).
The programme of the Winter Cup will continue on Saturday 22nd February with all the qualifying heats that will delineate the starting grid of Sunday’s final stages.
